4 - Axis CNC Simulator

During my technical internship, I designed and operated a 4-axis CNC simulator, where I focused on mastering CNC programming and automation processes. This project involved creating an interactive platform to help students and professionals simulate CNC operations, offering hands-on learning experience in Numeric Control (NC) programming. Using G-Code and M-Code, I developed and tested programs for various machining operations such as facing, milling, drilling, and threading.

A key aspect of the project was learning how to interface with the Indramotion MTX Micro Trainer software to simulate CNC operations, and I created step-by-step documentation for users to follow. Additionally, I successfully integrated this simulator with real industrial CNC machines, enhancing my understanding of the similarities and differences between simulated and real-world operations. My work involved connecting CNC machines with PLC systems via Ethernet, allowing for real-time monitoring and parameter adjustments.

This project provided valuable experience in CNC operation and programming, which I demonstrated through creating complex machining jobs and troubleshooting errors through simulations. It also contributed to developing a comprehensive operation manual, enabling future users to learn CNC coding efficiently and operate the system safely and effectively.
